Merry Christmas Kittens!!!

Hello gals...Merry Christmas!!! I have been workin' my tushy off! teehee...well to say the least i have been gettin' all ready for the most wonderful time of year...This year i had to wait to decorate until this week because we had family and friends over...but now that December is here...oh honey I am rocken' around the Christmas tree...and sittin' by the fireplace where our stockin's are hung...This photo says it all gals...What ever it takes...get it done!!!! tee hee

I wanted to share some special things to me...I have many trees...but my very favorite decoration is this ol' soul... He is my very first decoration i put up...& when he goes up everyone is there... we all feel Christmas~y ! Very early in my marriage I saw this large hand made Mr. Claus... in an ol antique Christmas shop...well my breath was taken away!!!...but his price tag was $699.00...oh way to much for a young family!!

Well years and years later...I found him under my Christmas tree...I was shocked...Daddy-O had remembered how it took my breath away and contacted the artist...he worked side jobs so I wouldn't see the money coming out of the account and bought the last one before the artist passed away. I couldn't believe the sentiment of my Mr...and what a treasure this turned out to be...so he is very special to me and my family...Mr. Christmas indeed!

I am very rustic in a lot of my trees...I try and make my home look as though we are in the woods or a ol' log home kinda like The Little Women era...I enjoy the many many trees and their twinkle at night...we never use regular house lights...the trees light the whole house... and at last count i have 48...ya i know wow crazy...but early on I began collecting...to make my home magic.

Before we had our girls. i explained to Daddy-o that i wanted Christmas to be magical for them!! In decoratin' as well as tradition & sentiment...so I buy every good deal, rustic tree I can find...I even have a upside down tree that looks as though it coming out of the roof!

Tonight the traditions start...we read every night as a family Christmas books...i adore Christmas books they make you feel warm and snugly...we play Christmas games...and snuggle up with a Christmas movie...every week day night...all together...I try and slow us down during Christmas instead of the hustle and bustle of it all...it is very special with the smallest of effort...its magical

Now last week for Thanksgiving we went camping as we always do...this year we came across a Christmas festival of a small town...we enjoyed not only our camping time but the smells and sights of Christmas...

It was such a sweet and special time...just slowin' down and enjoyin' each other...This is miss Baby chick with her Daddy swing...every time we have ever gone camping...he makes her a swing...gettin' older i thought hmmmm...will she want one...well i came out of the trailer to see this sight...her swingin' on her Daddy swing....

So now that i shared a couple of my special moments...i cant wait to pop over to all you gals...for inspiration...some new traditions...and beautiful homes filled with Christmas spirit! Enjoy this time of year gals...As a mama...we create moments, sights, feelin's, & traditions...keep mindful durin' the hustle to stop & look around...you will enjoy the holiday far more...and be so blessed!
