Hey kittens i thought i would do another Fun Fact Friday...this one i have soooo used...smelly sink...yuck...try runnin' very hot water down the drain...doesn't work...place 2 tsp. of baking soda in the drain...allow it to remain for a bit...then run more hot water...If it fails & still is smelly... place 1 cup vinegar & let stand for 20 minutes...that should do the trick! To keep it fresh right before company...i dice up a small lime or lemon...throw it down the drain switch the disposal on...& oh the smell is divine! Thanks for swingin' by for a lil' fun fact Friday time!! Cat~

9 SASSY KITTENS SAID...:
Oh my, this is a wonderful fun fact.
You know, I always try your fun facts, and I love the end results.
Thanks Cat! ;)
This is great advice, and something so little but something that I'm sure bothers 99% of us! I'm totally trying this. Thanks for the post!
We had the 'Block Busters' out yesterday for a blocked outside kitchen drain. Yukky. I will certainly try this now that it is all clear
acually, i put in the baking soda and instead of using hot water i use the vinegar to wash it down and THEN follow with hot boiling water....just another way! btw, i love the pics you post. i must have a few of the same resources but not all! would love to know where you get them all....
I'm headed for the baking soda right now!
Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
You posted this at the perfect time. My sink is STINKY! LOL. It's been so humid here, and I can smell it in the whole kitchen. Thanks for the tip. BTW, love your blog. :-) XO Helena
