OOh what a ride kittens...oh i am so glad to be back!...what a rocken' time i had, and oh i couldn't wait to share with the blog gals...so come on and lets take a lil' ride...hop on in gals...grab your red lipstick & snap those garders!

hey gals Cat here...hangin out a Viva...camera in hand...so lets take a peek...enjoy...

first sneak peek this photo is at the meet and greet...a wonderful time where you sit with people you don't know and listen to bands...and in between each set you stand up...shake hands & chit chat...i met these ladies...Nenet from New york, Crissy from Florida, Me and Quin from Utah...it was neat to meet and greet!

Fashion...oooh i thought this sweet lil' number was adorable...red polka dots...yes...twirlin' would be great in this lil' number!

oooh i loved just blowin' in to town...every day it was something new...what fun!

hotels are a must...this is New york, New york....

this is inside the Orleans hotel where Viva was held...beautiful faces graced the walls everywhere...

ooooh twirlin and the swing dancin', oh what fun. yes with all the vintage clothes....oh gals the hours of shoppin'

but...

yes they did...not sure if it was from the dancin' or the shoppin'...but you know it doesn't matter at all...ooh no! cuz this kitten had a blast...i'll just have to wear flip flops this week...heehee

speakin' of shoppin..oh girls, now a lil' sweet cherry pie...miss sweet cherry...was the sweetest thing ever....

isn't she sassy...and sweet...this San Diego vintage store owner had the greatest goodies and she was sooo sweet...she never lets anyone take her picture{ her hair of coarse}...but yippy miss sweet cherry pie let this kitten...i am very honored! what a doll!

ekkk shoppin! this is how ballrooms and ballrooms looked full of one of kind goodies...every day they open up at 11 am...and go until 2 am...so you can shop at any hour...

ok so horrid picture!!!! ekk "hate" it.but i loved the dress that yes, i bought in Vegas... a lil' vintage office type dress with matching bolero & belt...purrrrfect with my vintage straw wedgies i bought on ebay last month...with vintage tags still attached yahooo!

a sweet lil' checked number i loved...cap sleeves in the same print ...caught my eye but sadly didn't fit...boohoo...

next...miss Suzie Q...

every day from 1 pm until 7 am bands play in 3 ballrooms...so you can see any style music from ol' doo'wap...to now rockabilly bands...from sassy country toe tappin numbers...to oh so big band swing...

so all night you can dance...this lil' sassy chic is miss Suzie Q a wonderful lil' rockabilly diva that sings in a real winnin', kinda sassy, cute~sy way. she was great!

and i loved her powder pink 50's wiggle dress...

so there is much to do...all different kinds of fun...this one was very fun to watch...the hair...

take a peek...

so if you don't have the talent of vintage styles..you can have a a stylist do it for you...

although anything goes at Viva...which this kitten loves...any type of style...from colored hair...to very elaborate doo's..this kitten loves how very natural vintage styles are very respected... a real vintage chic is always commented on...

which is fun...daddy~o and i get a lot of fuss...we dress very matchy in color and era's...which we are always remembered from year to year...but it is nice and a lot of fun to check out all the fashion!

even...the awesome guys!

a cool barber shop set up...i loved it...guys could get a real shave...cut...and style...with many...

about 30 different men's hair tonics...even the old maker "dapper dan" i loved it...

Next i gotta give they guys a sneak peek...

the shifters car show on Saturday...full of great rides and tons of vintage shoppin'

this is the tikki...every year it has been set up in the middle of all the rocken' cars...

ahhhhh daddy~o's favorite part...the car show...

here is one of his favorite cars a Hudson...ooooh he loves them...

Next... a shoe box...

oooooooh a ford shoe box...love the bullet on the grill

yes i actually know this stuff...from daddy~o you know it!

miss Lucy my 53' is similar...but this is the one car i was gonna get before i found her...

great rat rod.............

I've been dumping a whole lotta sugar on top. And smiling... a lot. My face hurts. LOL
You're right. All at once is too much. I'll definatly space out my "gentle nudges". I'm more of an elbow to the ribs kinda gal. Hehehe.
He doesn't want to be tied down with a dog. Not that we ever go anywhere but if we did.. then he wants to be able to take off at a moments notice. I think that our family would benifit greatly from a dog. Hopefully in time... he'll think that way too.
Thanks for the advice sweetie! You're the bestest!!!!
Love ya
Laura

Thanks for the pics! Makes me feel like I was *almost* there. And love the pictures of the stylists, Stephani and Paris - they work at Hep Kat where I get my hair done! Fantastic women at a fantastic salon if you ever make it up this way!

I saw you TWICE at Viva Las Vegas! My husband was not feeling well, so I didn't stop to say, "Hi there, I read your blog! You're inspiring!" You had on a lovely black lacy dress one night, and then I saw you the next day, looking wonderful and all put together! We always support the tiki-dudes in the car show every year! And the photo of the woman doing the hair? She and I had a wonderful long conversation about vintage makeup looks and she gave me some great tips.

I thought the Orleans did a fine job of hosting VLV for the first time -- they have some kinks to work out, such as putting the vendors behind one of the music rooms -- that was a little strange. But oh! I agree with you! The vendors were WONDERFUL! And so friendly! I was just in such awe of the whole weekend. I wish I would have been able to say "hey" to you!

Oh my gosh!! I know Suzie Q . My friends boyfriend used to play bass in one of her husbands many bands (all the same people just different names... weird) She has a great style but her voice I can do without! Also that girl that was doing peoples hair. I know her. her name is Paris. I went to beauty school with her! How random. What are the chances of that hahaha I wonder who she works for...

I wanted to bad to go to this. I was in Disneyland with my niece. I wouldn't have changed that date for anything. I am so happy you posted this. I wanted to see what it was all about. Now, thanks to you, I will be attending next year.

I absolutely LOVE Viva...I didn't go this year though. Interestingly enough, the Tiki Bar that is out there every year was built by a friend of ours and the car club that brings it out every year (The Road Zombies) - my husband is a member! It looks like you had a BLAST! Great photos, thanks for sharing!!
